I have family in KG and visit usually twice a year.
I have family in KG and visit usually twice a year. If you are traveling in Serbia it's a very valid alternative to places like Belgrade. There is a lot to do and see, it just takes some amount of paying attention and being willing to explore.
The central part of the city has a pedestrian walkway filled with cafes, shops, and restaurants, live music most nights, bookstores, second-hand shops, all kinds of interesting things to do and see. Prices are FAR less than say Belgrade. There is a good bus system and a Tourist Information Center to help you with that, or you can take taxis, which are quite reasonable and easy to find. There are spectacular parks, a terrific indoor pool, facilities as good as anywhere,;and some small but very high quality museums.
It's a smaller industrial city but really does have a lot to offer. It's just not quite as obvious as some larger city, and takes, like I say, a willingness to do some exploring.
A bus from Belgrade was, in 12/2023, about USD$10 one-way and took about an hour-and-a-half.

It's a very clean city with much more trees than Niš (my city). It's easy to navigate through Kragujevac and every street leads to a square where it is easy to see where you've been and where you are at the moment, it's very hard to get lost basically. There are markets (like Maxi or Idea) at every corner if you need refreshments or you don't want to go to restaurants for food.
Since we stayed there for practically one entire day (we were there at the wedding for one entire day and departed after breakfast at the hotel, thus the only one entire day), we only visited one place with great praseće pečenje (roast pork) called Aleksandar Veliki (Alexander the Great) - Google maps show a wrong location, ask locals where the restaurant is once you are up in the hill, but basically just look at the street numbers and head upward when maps tell you to stop if you don't see the restaurant; also, the restaurant was recently rebranded with this name, the name can be seen at the door inscription.
There are also a few museums near the city center, but their working hours are until 2:30 pm or 3 pm. A must see place - memorial park Šumarice and museum 21st October, a testimony of terrorism of the Nazi Germany in Serbia, a tribute to murdered students from local schools (and specifically one entire class), their teachers, friends, family and neighbors (around 2800 people were executed in mass shootings in the course of 3 days). This one has better work hours than others, it can be seen on Google and their website; the tickets are 100 RSD, so basically less than €1/$1. What may be missing is the translation of the comic since it is only in Serbian, but I advise you to use Google lens and translate it, it contains a lot of important information regarding the massacre of people in that area.

Strengths: old historical city, nice people, interesting Memorial Museum, a lot of symbolic statues, good and cheap food;
Weaknesses: old infrastructure, there are still poor houses in the downtown, there are unclean places in the downtown.
The apartment is at the perfect location, walking distance to the city center. Cosy, super clean, with all details in place + brochures what to visit in Kragujevac, tv channel list, first help accessories for personal hygiene. The comfiest bed ever in the bedroom. 👍 A dedicated parking space for each apartment also exists. Hosts are also pleasant, accountable and super nice. Place looks and feels even nicer in person than on photos.
Warm, cozy, well lit and impeccably clean! Pair that with gracious hosts plus excellent location, it is definitely everything you could want and more!
We would strongly recommend this property to anyone visiting Kragujevac. We are already looking forward to our next stay here as this really contributed to completing a fun and relaxing weekend!

Elegant lady in reception was very friendly and helpful. She even help us to find Green Market Aerodrom.
Hotel is olmost new, well kept and very, very clean.
Our room was very big and nice with comfy beds and balcony.
Try omlet for breakfast. The best during our 5-week travel across six Balkans countries.
Parking with protective roof on the spot.
Hotel is in very quiet location yet close to the city center and with free parking. The rooms were spacious, well equipped and sparkling clean. Since it is Garni hotel it doesn’t have its own restaurant but the breakfast variety was pretty decent and everyone will find something. Staff was very reserved in communication but very polite though
Location was superb - hotel is located downtown, close to all the areas we needed for business and/or pleasure. Breakfast was a simple affair, but pretty good. Staff was attentive, and always available, even to prepare coffee in the middle of the night/early morning. Room was very good, we had a good night rest on the comfortable bed.
We really enjoyed our short stay at the Industrial. Hotel is beautiful, the lobby is just amazing. Pool and the spa facilities were even better than we expected. Breakfast was great, room was really nice and clean. The staff was really nice and helpful, whatever we needed was delivered smoothly and with a smile.
Had a super pleasant experience staying here. Host is prompt to messages and
helpful! This is my third time in Kragujevac and this place was definitely the best out of all. The location is great, apartment stylish and very clean! Across the street there is a big supermarket.
Overall, i definitely recommend it!
Owner was on time and very helpful sharing information about his place and surrounding. We had small issues with internet data (yes, it's 4g router with 100GB data) was fixed very fast after calling owner. If we go back to Kragujevac we will try to stay in this flat for sure.
Brand new, spotlessly clean, conveniently located to many grocery stores, cafes, restaurants and shopping. Parking is a huge plus. Host was very responsive and always helpful. We will be back and highly recommend this apartment to anyone coming to Kragujevac.
Great room for the money. Only thing you need to know is if you want air-condition to work you need to close all the windows. It's weird but that's the only way air conditioning works. For a small city like Kragujevac this mini hotel is great 10/10.
This is our 5th time staying at F Apartmani Kragujevac and have always had an excellent stay. The front desk is always extremely helpful and the apartments always clean and comfortable. we definitely recommend staying at these apartments.
The hotel rooms, spa and pool are amazing, staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast food was great with a lot of varieties of food and drinks. The hotel restaurant severs amazing food as well.
Everything was great, the owner is helpful. It is a small, cozy apartment near the main bus station, but quiet (you can sleep well) not close to the city center but taxi in Kragujevac is cheap. 😊
All the employees are young, polite and good people.
Rooms are spacy, light and clean.
Breakfast is really good.
I can recommend it to everyone. Really an excellent hotel!
